All of our adoptable animals are in the care of  volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org.

Can't Adopt or Foster? Maybe you'd like to provide sponsorship for an animal. Quigley the brindle beauty. As you can tell from Quigs photo, he is scared out of his mind right now at the shelter. Although it’s better than the streets, Quiqs needs someone to show him that life is grand. It doesn't seem he has had an easy life as he stays hunched over or flattened out like a pancake most of the time. Let’s bust Quigs out and show him what the life of a dog is supposed to be like.

Update: Sweet baby face Shar Pei Mix, Quigley is such a sweetheart!! His foster Mom has done miraculous work bringing this 9 to 12 month old out of his terrified shell. He has become quite the prankster and is full of fun and personality. Quigs (or Quiggie…he answers to all 3) will hide in his own shadow and after you are all comfy in your favorite chair…he will ever so quietly ‘tip toe’ and then…SURPRISE, is right there beside you smiling!!! He loves all sorts of toys, but especially toilet paper…so be forewarned…little sneak!!! This cute boy, with ‘Yoda ears’ will need a tender hearted adopter to still go slow with him, as he is continuing to trust. He is fabulous with other dogs and still has some of his ‘wrinkles’ known for this breed. Interesting and preciously funny tidbit: Quigs will go for a walk and then….Leaping Lizards….he JUMPS and little jumps..BOING, BOING…..then he goes about resuming his walk…talk about a happy little guy. Everyone share this ever so lovable boy, so he can ‘BOING’ in a forever home!!!!!

Our Adoption Fee is $125, unless otherwise noted, and goes towards the vet expenses for the animals in our care. Included in the adoption contribution is spay/neuter surgery, age appropriate vaccines, and microchip.
