All of our adoptable animals are in the care of volunteer foster parents. The foster families provide a safe place for the animal until placement. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please email us info@alabamaspca.org.

Trust us, you’re not seeing double! This is Alice’s sister Ellen! Although they may look the same they actually have some different personality traits. In case you missed it Ellen won a gold medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics for the doggy paddle but she would rather spend her time at the dog park pool. But don’t let that athletic nature fool you, when Ellen has had enough she will find some shade and look at you with eye pleading “Mom is it time to go yet?” She thoroughly enjoys being the mediator in the play yard and looks out for her friends and sister. Ellen is house trained, loves her crate, spayed and up to date on vaccinations. Ellen would thrive in a home with other dogs, a yard or plenty of park trips and someone to be loyal to. She is eager to please and enjoys watching you and learning new things! We hope that Ellen’s new family enjoys her just as much as her foster family has. For more information on adopting Ellen please visit www.alabamaspca.org! Don’t forget to share because you never know who might fall in love.
